Dwayne M. Mitchell CBI is a Business Intermediary with the Sunbelt office serving the Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Brampton, and surrounding areas. Dwayne purchased and sold businesses and investment properties for over 10 years, during which time he was a director of the Waterloo Region Apartment Management Association and a member of the Real Estate Investment Network. He received the “Outstanding Citizen Award” in 2001. He was also employed for 15 years with a large distribution company. He worked in all aspects of the company and contributed to the growth in sales from 180 million to 250 million, making it the largest family owned Food distribution company in Canada. He personally started and sold four companies during that same time period.
Dwayne was in the process of selling his current business when he was introduced to Sunbelt Mergers & Acquisitions and was impressed with their due diligence and methods of marketing and selling companies. He joined the Sunbelt team in 2009 and trained in Ottawa. He is one of 35 people in Canada with the CBI certification. He is currently a member of the IBBA and holds an Ontario Real Estate License. Based on his work experience prior to Sunbelt, he specializes in middle market Acquisitions, Divestitures and Restructuring of privately held Businesses throughout Canada and the US with annual revenues of 5-75 million. Dwayne’s interests are aerobatic flying, golf, long drive challenges, long range target shooting, Mercedes Benz Club Canada, and spending time with his wife, 3 sons, and his Doberman pinscher. Mr. Mitchell’s commitments to his clients are second to none. His advisory team consists of tax lawyers, business lawyers, financial advisers and chartered accountants.
