This opportunity capitalizes on a turn-key business providing grain bin sales, service, repair and installation in Southern Saskatchewan. This seasonal business has distribution relationships with manufacturers for new corrugated steel and smooth wall fertilizer bins, as well as supply arrangements for bin accessories (monitoring systems, automatic hatch systems, fans/cooling systems and anchoring systems). The business services a niche market focussed on bin sales, repairs, construction, assembly, transportation and setup. Established in 2016, this seasonal business operates from early Spring to late Summer providing service to the South-Central area of Saskatchewan’s agricultural industry. During the peak demand period (July and August), the business is managed by the two owners with seasonal support, and outside the peak period, the business requires minimal management based on currently being a mostly seasonal operation. There is high potential to expand business to other areas of the Province, add additional products/services (auger sales), target larger farming operations and/or to take this business from seasonal to a more year round operation.
