Even though Jim became aware of the business brokerage world through a friend of his many years ago, while completing his Masters, he has taken to it with great enthusiasm. The idea of helping entrepreneurs through the complex and often emotional process of buying and selling their businesses and witnessing their relief and jubilation upon a successful transition, is a driving force for Jim.
It is an unfortunate reality that during the process of purchasing or selling a business, issues will arise. Sometimes these can take a toll on people’s emotions, can cause extra stress. During those stressful times, Jim encourages his clients to vent about the process, what’s going on, after which he empathetically verifies what is happening, what the alternatives/options are and offers suggestions on how to best proceed, based upon his client’s goals.
Being an advocate for lifelong learning is a bonus for Jim as the business brokerage world allows him to continuously build upon his education and experience so that he can better service his client’s needs. He routinely signs up for additional learning opportunities, beyond the numerous courses that are required to maintain his memberships, designations related to the various industry organizations that he belongs to.
