Raised on dairy and cash crop farms in Waterloo and Lincoln Counties of Ontario, Mr. Good brings a rich agricultural heritage to his professional journey. After completing his studies at Kemptville Agricultural College in 1966, he furthered his academic pursuit with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Guelph in 1972. Advancing into the legal field, he earned a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Ottawa in 1979 and was subsequently admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1981.
As the proud founder of his own law firm, Mr. Good's focus has been unwaveringly centered on agricultural, food, and farm environment law for over four decades. His expertise extends to representing both domestic clients on international matters and international clientele on Canadian regulatory affairs.
Mr. Good's dedication to the agricultural and legal communities is evident through his memberships in numerous organizations. These include the Law Society of Upper Canada, Ontario Institute of Agrologists (where he served as a past president), Farm Management Canada, Ottawa/Carleton Plowmen’s Association (as its President), and the Eastern Canada Farm Writers Association.
Before his foray into law, he delved into pesticide research and collaborated with Agriculture Canada on regulatory matters and pesticide evaluations. Additionally, he has enriched the academic community as a lecturer on Environmental Law at both Ottawa and Carleton Universities.
